Episode II Home Studio Build Out

It was a good week for the kitchen, home studio remodel. Work progresses slowly it seems, because we are living in a construction site, but the demo is finished, the room is taking shape and at least we are putting things in now rather than tearing them out.

The main wall between the old kitchen and the living room came down so the shell is finished. We can now see the foot print of the final product. We have replaced all of the old plumbing, finished the wiring, and ordered the cabinets, appliances, and countertops. There is light at the end of the long dirty tunnel.

I miss traveling and have to, most likely, miss a completely free trip to Puerta Vallarta Mexico at the end of the month. We have already missed an oportunity to do carnival in Brazil with our friend and ex-employee Douglas as well as a trip to Buenos Aires. I go nuts if I stay in the USA to long. San Diego is depressingly rainy this year. As much as I complain about the consistency of the weather here, it is still unpleasent when it deviates from the 75 degree mean temperature.

Nothing to do but get up every morning, shake the plaster out of my clothes, pull myself up by my bootstraps (Grandpa quote), and soldier on (dad quote). Seriously though, the sooner we get done, the sooner we can return to a not so normal, but normal for us, routine.
